December 2016 in Angkor Wat, Cambodia, SUPERACE, with tens of ultra runners, experienced the local life and culture with our own feet. December 2017, we kept on the same value and came to the villages again, creating one more well for the people there. Having an ideal is not making a slogan. By taking actions and actually improving the life of the locals, we create love and happiness.

Bringing Up the 3rd Well with Pernod Ricard

“A Water Well a Year Project” is the goal of SUPERACE’s to practice the corporation social responsibility. SUPERACE insists in the ideals of chasing dreams and taking challenges. By holding 3 international ultra races in Taiwan, Xinjian/Inner Mongolia and Angkor Wat, water protection has been practiced for times.

This time, Pernod Ricard Taiwan, as a member of IMPACT 2030, joined the project together, in hope of reaching the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) set by the United Nations (UN.) The topic this year is “Clean Water and Sanitation.” Pernod Ricard Taiwan shows the great care and support over the water issue by taking real actions. Donating 150,000 for the A Water Well a Year Project, Pernod Ricard Taiwan actively helps the people in places lack of clean water to build one more well, with SUPERACE and the international organization,CCDO , hands in hands.

Under the witness of Benoît Guidée, the director of French Office in Taipei, Pernod Ricard Taiwan, represented by Terence Ong, their managing director, donated NTD.150,000 to the A Water Well a Year Project held by Kevin Lin.

3rd A Water a Year RUN FOR WATER Road Run

Every June, the A Water a Year RUN FOR WATER Road Run is held for raising attention over the water issue. The documentary film “A Water A Year Project” is also played in the event to promote the importance of water resource. This year, Terence Ong, the managing director of Pernod Ricard Taiwan, was invited to join with all the runners. Every step taken represented the effort those locals in poor areas have to make to simply get their daily-used water, instead of earning money, taking care of their family or going to schools. Females lose their time to take care of their children, men lose their strength to do money-worthy jobs and kids lose their right to be educated.

Lighting Up the Hope Tree, Showing the Ideal of Sustainability

Except for the support over A Water a Year Project, this is also the 8th Responsib’ALL Day volunteer day, with the theme of “Bringing Good Times with the Beauty in Life,” this year. Lasting the light of the hope tree from last year, Pernod Ricard Taiwan called on 120 employees and their channel members to decorate the wine bottles, which were lit up by solar energy and compose the tree. After the light-up ceremony, the hope tree will be donated to the New Taipei Government in order to promote cooperation between the corporation and the place.

Terence Ong, the managing director of Pernod Ricard Taiwan, hung up the very first wish lock on the tree.
