Day 1 : [Hengchun Ancient City - Lao Foshan]

The ancient place name of Hengchun is "Langqiao" or "Langqiao", which is the Paiwan people's name for an orchid plant and is also the clan name of the local aborigines. It was not until the Qing Dynasty that the name was changed to "Hengchun" because of the pleasant climate and spring-like weather all year round. On the first day of the multi-day race in Kenting , we will start from the ancient city of Hengchun, located in the center of the town. We will visit the ancient city gate, the century-old east gate and pass through the north gate. It’s like going back in time. Remember Take the time to climb up the city wall, overlook the panoramic view of Hengchun Town, and feel the weight of history.

Leaving the city and heading towards the mountain trails, you will soon face the first challenge of today’s climb, Lao Foshan. Follow the trail and wind up, and the steep mountain road will make you feel awkward every step of the way. The moment you reach the top of the mountain, you can overlook the magnificent scenery below. The beautiful scenery makes all the sweat flow worthwhile.

Day 1 : [Manzhou Township]

Kenting Station , we will run into Manzhou Township. One turn and you will enter the embrace of the mountains again. Manzhou Township is located at the tail end of the Central Mountains. Its original name was " vangecul " in Paiwan or "mosquito" in Hokkien. During the Japanese occupation, it was changed to the Japanese transliteration of "Manzhou" and is still used today. It is characterized by mountainous hilly terrain. The altitude is not high but there are many ups and downs. You can ride on the gentle industrial road and enjoy the ups and downs of the mountain scenery not far away. Along the way, you can see the low bushes and betel nut trees, giving you a panoramic view of the tropical atmosphere. Occasionally you will pass by a small village, and you will occasionally see old cows grazing leisurely. Under the eaves of a few low-rise houses, there are even more enthusiastic villagers and little black dogs cheering you on. Take steps on the relatively gentle road. The open fields have pleasant scenery, and you can enjoy the natural and unadulterated countryside scenery calmly. When I arrived at the last supply station, I overlooked the pristine coastal scenery along Jialeshui from the commanding heights and told myself that the end was not far away, and I felt particularly comfortable!

Day 2 : [Provincial Route 26 |Jiae Highway]

Early morning of day 2, we continued to set off from Manzhou. After a while, the bushes gradually disappeared from the horizon, the mountain line gradually flattened, and the field of vision gradually broadened. Today, let’s go see the sea! After crossing Gangkou Creek, Provincial Route 26 Jiae Highway stretches from the Pacific Ocean to the Bashi Channel, passing the Manzhou-Hengchun boundary marker, and begins to visit the beautiful coastal highway scenery of the Hengchun Peninsula. While admiring the diverse scenery along the way, including strange rocks, gravel beaches, beach landscapes, and tropical coastal virgin forests, you can vaguely hear the sound of waves calling, and the sea breeze blowing in your face, carrying the salty taste of sea water. This is the most runnable section of the race, so don’t forget to hit the ground running! The road is wider, the sea is wider, and the heart is wider.

Day 2 : [Wind-blown sand, the southernmost tip of Taiwan, Chuanfan Rock, Sheding Park]

Follow the lead of Jia'e Highway to the south and enjoy the special scenery along Nanbin.

When we came to Fengchuisha, the white sand suddenly appeared in the scenery. This area belongs to the coral reef terrain, which is a mixture of red soil and sand in the stratum. After long-term erosion, it has formed today's white sand landscape. The fine sand sparkles in the sun, like a flowing ribbon, like an exotic desert scene, which is amazing. A wonderful creation of nature. From Shuiwa Cave, turn onto a mountain trail for a different light off-road challenge! After arriving at Puding Prairie, continue walking and look at the blue sea and sky of the Pacific Ocean. Let's gaze at this sea for the last time! Arriving in Eluanbi Park, there is a symbolic stone monument marking the southernmost tip of Taiwan's main island. Facing the vast Bashi Channel, the sea breeze blows in your face, bringing a bit of coolness. I can't help but sigh that the end of this land is so magnificent and wide.

Continue passing Provincial Highway 26 for a section , and after meeting the huge coral reef named after its shape that resembles a sailing ship, take the next fork in the road, turn right and go up an inconspicuous path, leading to the heights of Sheding Park. suddenly see the light. Overlooking the entire Hengchun Peninsula, the vast seascape and lush green mountains are intertwined, making you feel relaxed and happy. At the end of the second day at Kenting Station , we are preparing to enter a section of the Hengchun Mountain Trail Cross-Country Route, which will also be the final challenge of the day!

Day 3 : [Hengchun Dazong Mountain Trail]

The early ancestors of the Hengchun Peninsula opened trails between the mountains and forests for hunting, transportation and military needs. After the coastal roads were opened, these mountain trails have gradually been lost in the smoke and grass over time... In recent years, the mountain trails have Friends plan to connect these trails to become the "Hengchun Longitudinal Walk" route, allowing more people to see a different Hengchun Peninsula.
The third day of the Kenting Station | One-day cross-country race, the last day of the race is the most testing moment for physical fitness and cross-country skills. Adjust your breathing and pace, and prepare to meet the final challenge! We will start from Nangong in Chiniuling Town, go through Mount Yueshanmu Mountain, pass through the Shiniu River Valley, and reach the Kenting Grazing Area. We will experience most of the Hengchun Zongtong cross-country mountain trails and bravely explore the most primitive and humanistic trails with our feet. Hengchun Ancient Road with ecological value.

Day 3 : [Chiniuling, Dashanmu Mountain]

Climb the Chiniuling Mountains and enjoy a bird's-eye view of the Hengchun Plain, with a superb view of Dajianshan and Longluan Lake, one of the eight scenic spots in Hengchun . Chiniuling Trail, look for World War II Japanese military camp air raid shelters. There are many old trees nearby. In addition to the "thousand-year-old banyan tree", the hidden Yagu Stone was also the Japanese army's camp and air-raid shelter at that time.

Dashanmu Mountain, the highest peak in Kenting, belongs to the southernmost edge of the Central Mountain Range, with an altitude of 325 meters. When running cross-country, you can collect a small mountain in the south, and it is the first-class triangular point with the highest level of outlook from the top of the mountain. The steep climb and changing terrain require you to adjust your rhythm here to ensure that you can cope with the continuous climb. From the top, you can see the ancient city of Hengchun and Manzhou Yongjing Community, Eluanbi, Nanwan Maobitou, and the entire Kenting. fundus. After descending from the main mountain, the route becomes relatively flat, but not lacking in challenges. This section of the route crosses several hills and open grasslands, and the ground can become rough at times, requiring extra care with every step you take.

The final day of the multi-day race will subvert your impression of Kenting’s new experience. It turns out that Kenting is not only about beaches, sunshine, and bikinis, but also about facing mountains and looking at the sea, taking on a difficult cross-country challenge, and completing a magnificent journey.

What is a multi-days Ultra Marathon?

SUPERACE Ultra Marathon Stage Race is a concept created by extreme terrain explorer Kevin Lin who has participated in extreme marathons over many years. In an event totaling more than 100 km over 3 days and 2 nights, participants must carry their own food and water throughout the journey and make choices based on speed and stamina. The race is a challenge against wild terrain, animals, drinking water, weather, time, depleting stamina, and speed where difficult decisions must be made. Participants can also experience local tourism culture.

What is Self-carry and Self-supply?

Throughout the course, participants must carry their own food (prepare a minimum of 7 meals, we suggest buying dried rice packets), water, sleeping bags, change of clothes, and the event’s mandatory equipment. Backpacks have an average weight of 6-8 kg (including water). The event organizer carefully inspects each participant’s equipment before each race and if violations are found, participants must purchase additional equipment locally. The event only provides camp sites, drinking water, hot water, and tents to participants at CP stations (approximately 1 every 9~12 km). Participants who violate rules will be punished with additional time or disqualification.

What Types of Athletes Have Participated in SUPERACE Ultra Marathon Stage Race in the Past?

Participants of previous ultra-marathon events mostly have full-time jobs and hail from various industries. SUPERACE does not place occupational restrictions or other requirements on race participants; this event is an international ultra marathon stage race and each race contains elite athletes from various countries (China, Japan, Korea, Southeast Asia, Europe, and the U.S.) with 80% male and 20% female.

How Many Days are Required for Participating in Alishan Station?

Participants need to arrive one day before the race, to join the report, equipment inspection, and pre-race briefing session. and leave at any time after the race has concluded. The whole race will lasts 3 days and 2 nights, and conclude around noon in day-3, after the awards and ceremony. Therefore, there are total 4 days to join this event.

What does the overnight campsite provide? Can I take a shower?

SUPERACE ultra marathon compares and refers to the international regular multi-day race system. Depending on the local camp conditions, organizer will set up tents for the players or provide indoor space for overnight use, and provide drinking water and hot water for meals, support and assistance from professional medical staff and volunteers. In order to provide runners with a more comfortable multi-day race experience, arrangements will be made to provide shower services.

Due to the climate condition in Kenting has a large temperature difference between day and night, indoor space as a campsite will be arranged.
